  Week 11 Room 7 Blog Post Hello everyone and welcome to the final week of Term Two! The Clever Caterpillars in Room 7 have worked very hard this term and I am so proud of their efforts. Literacy focus: All students in Room 7 would benefit from daily reading over the school holidays. By simply asking your child to write one or two sentences about each book they read, we can continue to develop their sentence structure and reading comprehension skills. A focus for our Clever Caterpillars is to use capital letters correctly, apply the correct punctuation (. ! or ?), and to make sure each sentence makes sense (contains a subject and a verb). I have included new High Frequency Word lists in most student’s practice folders. Feel free to highlight any words students can read without sounding out, and to continue to practise any words they are still sounding out. This will help them read with fluency. Welcome to Room 7's Clever Caterpillars blog post for Week 9. I would like to say a big thank you to Room 7 for the lovely warm welcome I've received as their new classroom teacher. I feel ever so lucky to be able to continue Miss Ryan's wonderful work and guide the students of Room 7 on their learning journeys for the remainder of the year.  I believe in creating a safe and supportive learning environment for all students and I am excited to see the continued progress of our class for the rest of Term 2 and beyond. Room 7 and Room 9 did an amazing job at today's assembly! Ms Papas and I are so proud of them. We will have photos on the blog in Week 10.
