Super Scientist Competition   In Week Five, the Year One children have been invited to present a  short science experiment  or  report on a science related topic  to their peers. The class will select their top two ‘ super scientists’  and they will move forward to the year level challenge.  Task The children need to research a scientific concept or idea, and then deliver this to their peers. The children can choose to conduct an experiment or give a report on their concept. Each presentation, whether it be an experiment or report, can be a maximum of 6 minutes in length. Children can use ICT resources such as MS PowerPoint to support their presentation, in addition to posters, charts etc. Experiments should be simple to set up, demonstrate an outcome within the time limit and be  SAFE. Children need to explain what they are demonstrating, what procedure they are following, what happens and if they can, why it happened.  Helpful websites with science ideas
