All About Me Project   Speaking and Listening Dear Parents The children will be completing their first independent speaking and listening task with an oral presentation to the class. Today I sent home a '3 About Me' bag. I would like you to help your child choose 3 objects from home that they can use to describe themselves to the class. When they are choosing their objects please make sure:   1. All 3 objects fit inside the bag. 2. All 3 objects are appropriate for school and not very valuable. 3. All 3 objects are important to them. After they have chosen their objects, they may wish to decorate the bag. All children need to bring their bag  and objects to school on Friday (5th March 2021) to share with the class. Kind regards Miss Ryan

Drop Everything and Talk    Speaking and Listening Dear Parents During class we have been focusing on our speaking and listening skills. Every week we focus on building our confidence in a group environment with the whole school initiative of Drop Everything and Talk .  Last week's topic was: Describe the best gift you have ever received. Below are some of the responses from our class. Gracie said "My flamingo because it was my first beanie boo toy".  Irene said "My toy dog because it keeps me comfortable. When I'm feeling nervous, I give my toy dog a hug". Tate said "The hot wheels because they go fast".  Everyone was very excited to talk about their favourite gifts and how they had received them. Kind regards Miss Ryan
