Update on Harmony Day Parade Dear Parents Our Harmony Day Parade is going to take place on Friday from 8:45am to 9:30am in the undercover area. The children will be walking with their buddies from Room 27. I look forward to seeing you all there. Thank you Miss Ryan

Pre Primary Excursion Constable Care Safety School  Dear Parents On the 3 rd April (Wednesday), the Pre Primary children from Room 7 will be visiting Constable Care Safety School in Maylands. They will be attending with Rooms 3 and 6. The purpose of the excursion is to consolidate the learning that has taken place about passenger safety, pedestrian safety and safety on wheels during the term. It will give children the opportunity to apply the road safety knowledge they have been taught in the classroom within the fully functioning Safety School layout. Itinerary The bus departs at 9:30am and arrives back at 12:30pm. Cost $7.00 Cost of bus to and from school. Entry has been subsidised through School. What to bring Children are required to wear their school uniform, closed in shoes and their school hat. They are required to bring their recess and a water bottle clearly labelled with their name. Children will have lunch upon return to school

Harmony Day Parade On the 21 st March (Friday), our school will celebrate Harmony Day with a special Parade of the Nations in the undercover area. I would like to see all children: dressed in a national dress costume carrying a small flag (A4 size) from their country Thank you for your wonderful support ☺ Miss Ryan

Mathematics Resources  Year One Word Problems  Thank you very much for your support with the Word Problems. It is great to see all the Year One children having a go at completing the word problems. I have introduced the CUBES Strategy to the children. The children are using this strategy to solve addition and subtraction word problems. The steps are: At home, I would like you to remind your child to use the CUBES Strategy when completing word problems.  Measureme nt and Geom etry   In Room 7, the Pre Primary and Year One children have been learning to:  Name and order the days of the week. Our Assembly   Thursday 14th March 2019 Dear Parents I have listed the assembly schedule for you.  All children need to meet outside our classroom at 8:20am .  All children need to be in their costume. Please ensure your child has been to the toilet prior to lining up outside our classroom. The children will move to the undercover area at 8:30am. The assembly will start at 8:45am . After the assembly, the children will get changed into their school uniform. Please make sure your child has their school uniform in their school bags. Over the next few days, I would like you to please continue to provide opportunities for your child to rehearse all their parts (including singing the two songs).   If you have any questions, please come and see me.
