  Assembly Awards Awesome effort by the Clever Caterpillars  Congratulations to Ethan S, Amelia, Agustya and Yalini on their well-deserved merit certificates. Well done! In addition, congratulations to Room 7 for winning the Tidy Bag Award! I'm very impressed with all the students remembering to zip their bags up during the day. Our goal was to win the Tidy Bag Award by Week 7 and we did it! Great work, Clever Caterpillars!  Kind regards Miss Ryan

  Days 2-4 Super Scientist Competition  An Amazing Science Week  Dear Parents Congratulations to all of the students who presented their Science Experiments on Days 2, 3 and 4. You did an amazing job!  At the end of the presentations, the students voted on who will represent Room 7 in the Year One Super Scientist Competition.  A BIG Congratulations to Ethan W and Gracie on being our classroom winners!   Day 1 Super Scientist Competition  A Wonderful Start! Dear Parents Today Gracie, Amelia, Olivia, Tate and Vincent presented their Science Experiments. Each of the students spoke very clearly about their topic and related it to the real world. I was very impressed with the standard of the presentations. Super Scientist Competition    Dear Parents In Week 5, the Year One children have been invited to present a  short science experiment  to their peers. The class will select the top two ‘ super scientists’  and they will move forward to the Year Level Challenge.    Task   ·         The children need to research a scientific concept and then deliver a short experiment on this concept to their peers. ·         Each presentation can be no longer than 5 minutes and a minimum of 2 minutes in length. ·         Children can use ICT resources such as MS PowerPoint to support their presentation, in addition to posters, charts etc. All resources must be made by the children and written in their own words. ·         Experiments should be simple to set up, demonstrate an outcome within the time limit and be  SAFE. ·         Children need to explain what they are demonstrating, what procedure they are following, what happens and if they can, why it happened.  ·         I would like
