As part of our STEM, Science and Technology and Enterprise Integrated Programs, the children worked with a partner to plan and create a habitat diorama.
The Pre Primary children created a habitat for a bird, whilst the Year One children created a habitat for our class alien.
Each group:
Step 1. Brainstormed a list of natural and built features to include in their habitat.
Step 2. Decided on what colours they needed to paint their box, what things they needed to make to place into the box and what materials they needed to make their features.
Step 3. Created their habitat diorama.
Step 4. Reflected on how similar their habitat diorama was to their plan.
