Welcome to Term Three!

Introduction

The Clever Caterpillars have had a wonderful start to Term Three. 

The students have settled into their new home teams and continue to give 120% effort towards their learning. 

Over the last four weeks, the students have been involved in many exciting events...

Year Level Challenge Presentation

On the 21st of July, the students attended a whole school assembly. At the assembly, the results for the Term Two Year Level Challenge were announced. 

Congratulations to Laylah, Amelia and Kyan for being in the Top Five Year One students. Well done to Kyan for achieving 100% on the Year One Challenge. I am very proud of you all. 

100 Days of Year One

On the 25th of July, the students celebrated 100 days in Year One. 

The student participated in a range of learning activities. These included: 

100 Day Puzzles, Bookmarks and Reflection Sheets

Superhero Moves

      100 Steps Walk

  NAIDOC Activities 

On the 28th of July, the students participated in NAIDOC Activities. The activities included: 

• Making damper
• Learning Aboriginal words for school features
• Creating a boomerang
• Matching animals to their Aboriginal words
• Reading Tiddalick the Frog and acting out the story

It was a fantastic opportunity for the students to develop their knowledge and understanding about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, culture and achievements.
