Terrific Term Two!

Over the last ten weeks, the students have progressed in many areas of development including academic, creative, physical and social and emotional. I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing the students become responsible for their learning.

In Term Two, the students were involved in some exciting events...

WA Week

As part of the school's celebration of WA Day, each student was asked to design a post card showcasing an aspect of Western Australia for their buddy.

 Life Education Van

The students attended a session called 'Harold's Friendships' in the Life Education Van. They learnt about qualities of a good friend, feelings and emotions, early warning signs, and safe and unsafe situations.

 Super Scientist Competition

The students were invited to present a short science experiment or report on a science related topic to their peers. All the students were creative, used their imagination and had fun in preparing and presenting their science experiment or report. Congratulations to Kyan and Laylah for being selected by their peers as the top two 'super scientists' for Room 7.

Junior Assembly

On the 9th June, the students attended their fourth Junior Assembly for the year. Congratulations to the students for winning the Tidy Bag Award. Thank you to Monet and Kyan (Semester 1 Student Councillors) for accepting the award on behalf of their peers. Furthermore, a big congratulations to Kyan, Amelia and Willow and for receiving their well-deserved Merit Certificates. Keep up the awesome effort, Caterpillars.

I wish you all a happy and safe holiday.

Kind regards

Miss Ryan
