What has been happening in Room 7?

Introduction

The Clever Caterpillars have had a wonderful start to the school year. They have settled into the class routines and made new friends in Year One.

In our classroom, the students are learning how to work together in groups. We have six home teams called…

Funny Fish

Crazy Crabs

Orange Octopus

Shining Sharks

Jumping Jellyfish

Dazzling Dolphins

In these home teams, the students are working together, thinking together and acting together. To ensure the home teams run smoothly, the students have team roles. The students have learnt the first role, which is Go For.

Special Events

Aussie Day

On the 10th February, the students participated in a belated Australian Day celebration. In the morning, the students attended a whole school assembly. The students looked stunning in their costumes. Throughout the day, the students participated in a General Knowledge Quiz, made an Australian Flag, made a Koala puppet, sang some Australian Songs, ate some lamingtons and performed some plays about Australian Animals. I will like to say thank you for your time and effort in helping your child with their costumes, and for your donations. The students helped the school raise a large amount of money for cancer.
