Science Investigation

Thank you to all the children for bringing in an item for their science investigations.

During the investigations, the children learnt:

·       All materials have properties. The properties tell us more about an item’s shape, colour, size, texture, appearance and smell.

·       Materials can change in different ways. They can be heated, melted, cooled, frozen, stretched, dissolved, mixed, cut, boiled and moulded.

·       Materials can change shape, size, colour and temperature.

·       When a change can be undone, it is called a physical change.

·       When a change can not be undone, it is called a chemical change.
